SmarTracks Diagnostics Mobile Set (DX5.0): Ideal for coaches and professional athletes


The SmarTracks Diagnostics Mobile Set is a must-have for professional performance diagnostics. Tailored to the needs of athletes, the SmarTracks system measures agility tests, jumps, taps and runs. It provides, among other things, jump height, tapping frequency, split times, running distances, step frequencies and step counts as well as step length and speed. 


For individuals and groups


It is used in the running disciplines of athletics such as short, middle and long distance running, hurdles and relay, but also in the long jump. The SmarTracks Diagnostics Mobile Set can also be used in team sports such as football, American soccer, volleyball and field hockey.


With PC software or smartphone


You can use the DX5.0 sensor with both the SmarTracks Diagnostics PC software and the Smart Run app. This means you can both evaluate diagnostic tests on your laptop and view run data directly on your smartphone.

SmarTracks Diagnostics PC Software: How it works

The diagnostic system consists of magnetic gates and a sensor that is attached to a waist belt. The athletes strap it on and still have full freedom of movement. The sensor records movement data and the passing of the magnetic gates. This sensor data is then evaluated and displayed by the software. 


Specifically, this means:

  1. set up the timing gates at the start and end points and at any intermediate sections.
  2. Start the SmarTracks Diagnostics software and the sensor (by connecting it to the computer).
  3. Put on the sensor belt and perform the scheduled tests.
  4. Reconnect the sensor to the computer and view all test results in the SmarTracks Diagnostics software.

Smart Run App: How it works


You can use the DX5.0 sensor with the Smart Run app to receive data from individual runs on your smartphone. During the run, you will receive the timing results via livestream, and after the run is completed, you will receive all the run data.


Specifically, this means:

  1. Set up the timing gates at the start and end points and at any intermediate sections.
  2. Launch the Smart Run app and connect your DX5.0 sensor.
  3. Start a run in the app. Timing starts as soon as the athlete passes the first magnetic barrier.
  4. You will receive the timing results via livestream.
  5. Stop the sensor with the app after passing the last magnetic cabinet. You will automatically receive all the run data. You can view the run data in the app or on SmarTracks Online.

The SmarTracks Timing Gates contain permanent magnets. They use static magnetic fields to determine the position and speed of the athletes. They are fully usable for normal sports use, also by athletes with pacemakers or other implants.
